Welcome to my World

 

 For JoJo's birthday, all the "Miller" ladies went out for supper at Olive Garden and shopping... We don't do this very often, so we enjoyed ourselves!   JoJo and Kaelin posing with her new backpack from Aunt Jenn...So cute!  Oh, and one male came to dinner...Grady!  I think he was getting tired of our ceaseless chatter...Poor guy.  His daddy rescued him for the rest of the evening.  Avery is playing peek-a-boo...sweetie-pie....  She's cracking herself up!  Not sure how I missed getting a picture of Aunt Jessica and myself, but here is the shirt Jessica bought Jojo while we were shopping, and behind her is the tent she picked out.  Fun, fun, birthday stuff!

 So, we know we are old if we are having a "Craft Nite", right?  Haha!  I just can't quite imagine myself doing this in my single days!  Now we just crave some quiet sit-down time with friends of the adult kind! We had fun making Coasters and Headbands while our hubbies were playing Wallyball.  What is Wallyball, you say? Find out here or here .   The link for the tutorial for the Coasters we made is found here .  What fun...they turned out really nice!  Might make good gifts...hmmm  We also made headbands...the tutorial is here .  As you can see, we weren't all that quiet, but it was relaxing!  Thanks gals for a fun nite!

I know I'm a nerd, but I love back to school time.  Not necessarily because I look forward to the difficult job of teaching four energetic youngsters, but because I LOVE new school books and supplies.  I love all the sales that are going on in office stores and I often take advantage of the deals, such as: 1cent folders, $1 binders, 4pk glue sticks for .25, 12pk sharpies for $1 etc... I also love getting new schoolbooks in the mail...they are so crisp and lovely...  Here are the books that came yesterday...  My kids are excited for new books as well... They wrote their names on them already.... Should be an interesting year.  Our unit is called Creation to the Greeks(My Father's World).  That pretty much sums it up!  We will be doing some neat things like studying and practicing some of the  Old Testament feasts. I am also excited about the weather getting cooler...eventually! Happy Back-to-Schooling to you all!

SUMMER UPDATE!   I don't know why I thought Summer would be relaxing...It turned out to be very busy!  Not sure why!   We were in charge of VBS at our church with another couple, and that took a lot of my time.  Here are a few pictures:             Brendan and I made some DINOSAURS for VBS..they were awfully cute...     This was the pre-paint look:    I did have time for some other things...   Such as... Babysitting for my adorable new nephew...Grady!  As well as some fun projects: This photo was my INSPIRATION(Pinterest):  Result: Below Found Target t-shirts on sale for $5 so I bought two and did this:    Another Project this summer: Making a case for my Kindle... so fun! We also switched the kids rooms around and repainted, etc.  This is Joanna's room.....
