Welcome to my World

These are pictures of some of the friends we got to visit while in Indiana....This crazy bunch is our kids and Dan and Ada's kiddos...obviously Christian is not impressed!  We got to know Dan's when we lived in Harlan.  A very special family!  Below is a picture of the 2 Jeremiah's...I think this is so cute! Next we visited a friend from college, Jeni Potter and her sweet family!  This is all the kiddos except the youngest, Evie, is napping....  Zane, Liam, Jeremiah, Sam, Ben, Joanna, Owen, and Kate....Love this family!     Had to take a couple pictures up in the cute playroom...   On the way to Middlebury, we stopped in Warsaw/Winona Lake to see the College I attended and to visit my friend/roommate Melissa Barrette and her precious babies, Cora and Olivia!  I had fun squeezing them and visiting in their adorable house!   What fun to reconnect!    There were a lot of changes at Grace since I was there last.  For exa...

Visiting the cousins is always a highlight for our kids!  They had so much fun together as you will see!  The weekend we were in Ft. Wayne, Lindsey had AllStar Softball Games all weekend!  We got to see our oldest niece in action!  She is a GREAT pitcher, batter and cheerleader for her team!   It was also VERY HOT while we were there, so one day we took the kids swimming while Lindsey was at a game...     They kept themselves entertained for quite a while...Very relaxing for Brendan and I!   Oh little Libertie!  You are such a joy and delight!  I loved holding you and putting you to sleep!  I will miss you!     The last night we were there, we went out to eat...these silly kiddos rode in our van...  Their last nite together we let them sleep in the same room!  And believe it or not they actually SLEPT!   Getting in one last game of kickball before we headed out...  Getting in one last...

On our way to Indiana, we stopped for the nite in Kentucky at a hotel.  We thought it would be fun to take the kids swimming after a long day in the van.  They did awesome in the van, by the way!  But lo and behold the pool was closed!  Did I mention that it was really HOT there too?  So I called up the hotel next door and they let us come swim in their pool!  I was pretty impressed by the Kentucky hospitality!  Then back in the hotel room, the kids found ways to entertain themselves while we took showers... They played in the curtains...           ...they played games on the computer...                                                      ...

Lately I have been getting all kinds of inspiration from other blogs, such as The Cottage and Bailey and Me I thought I'd like to try to make some interesting pillows...so this is what happened!  I took iron-on paper from Walmart.  Printed my musical designs on them, and the ironed them onto squares that I cut out of an old tablecloth.  Gotta love being thrifty, or green, or what ever you wanna call it.  I sewed the squares into pillow covers and ...tada!  The black and off-white ruffly one was made awhile ago with grossgrain ribbon and off-white muslin that I had lying around.  I also made the blue pillow awhile ago too...such fun...

 Love the Colors of Summer!  Off to watch fireworks  Trying to stay cool...  Can't miss the Millers!  Tired already?  Bristol is SO cute!  Met up with our friend Sam who is also five and is missing the same tooth as our Sam!  Love it...  Gotta love the scenery...
